Wow! I cannot believe we have been here for 6 full months already. Where has the time gone? We feel so blessed to be able to call Swaziland our home. My heart overflows with joy and great contentment as I know we are right where God wants us!
1 Timothy 6:6 Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment.
I just want to say THANK YOU…because I can never say it enough…to everyone that is partnering with us financially and prayerfully! I love to see how God uses the family of Christ! Because of your obedience to Him, we are able to serve Him here in Swaziland. We wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!
One of my favorite days of the week is Thursday morning, where we have our staff Bible study in our home. One of our greatest passions is our Swazi staff. We work with AMAZING brothers and sisters in Christ! It has been so great to study the book of Ephesians together. Our prayer for our staff is that we would have unity, as the body of Christ, and be imitators of God. (In the picture below we are missing two of our staff)
Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
In the 6 months that we have been here we have seen many highs and lows. We have grieved with those that grieve and rejoiced with those that rejoice. We have shed many tears of heartbreak and joy. We have experienced spiritual warfare like never before but we have also seen God answer prayer and move in ways that seem impossible to us. (I will share more in detail in our next blog) Through it all we have seen and experienced God’s faithfulness like never before. In the valleys and mountain tops, He remains faithful. In the joys and challenges, He has always shown His face. Our God is faithful!
This has been my prayer for our family…
Romans 12:9-12 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
